Naming Teams

Like the IceHL, when you make a nomination, you must include the location with it.  "In other words, don't just submit Lightning.  Submit Tampa Bay Lightning".  Once the cities are selected by the fans I will attach the possible locators for each team.  You must use one of the locators for the city that you are naming. 

A team name nomination will NOT be accepted if it breaks any of the following rules:

• It may not use a name of any current or past NFL team.


• It may not use the name of any current AFL or any team from the past.


• It may not use the name or close variation of any professional sports team currently or previously within the same market or geographical area.


• It may not use the name of any team in the Chris Creamer community etc. 


• It may not be vulgar or in any way inappropriate. (And I'll decide what's inappropriate.)

 Applying for an NFA franchise 

You do not need to have an experience playing fantasy football or running a concept league, but we will require that you are loyal to the league and stick with us throughout the season.  If you are going to apply you must commit to the league, especially because there will undoubtedly be owners who do not receive a franchise.  

 If you are awarded a team, you must be willing to use the NFA's team name and logo that is given to you.  Changing it without permission from the commissioner and the board will be grounds for termination from the league.  

Application Directions

When the time comes you will email Commish1988@gmail.com and include the following: 

     - Your first name and last initial (Joe F.), no screennames or CC handles

     - Make sure to include an email address that I will be able to respond to you

     -In the email, please note any experience that you have with a league such as this (fantasy, your own, CC or other).  Then list your preferred NFA team choices.  List at least 3 and no more than 10.  (If no teams on your list are available to you, one will be assigned at random).  Also please include if you helped give the official name or selected logo for any of the franchises.  Teams will be assigned to owners based on order of preference.    

 How owners of franchises will be selected  

The fairest way I can see to select owners will be to do it at random.  However some applicants will be given an advantage based off of their contributions to the league.  This doesn't assure you'll get a team but it does give the founders better odds.
